There are some Microsoft Sway files below that explore different concepts that have to do with the gestural mode. “Gesturing On-The-Go”, by Anna M., discusses how drivers can create gestures using available means such as blinkers, brakes, and horns as extensions of their bodies to communicate specific messages to other drivers. In “Gestural Accessibility for Autistic Students” Anna H. considers how gestural perception differs among neurodivergent communicators and offers some ways that this might be accounted for in the classroom. Jack M., in his “The History of Emoji”, outlines the way that emojis have been implemented by various companies to add gestural value to computer mediated messages.
